I want to clear a 1 acre plot to plant a garden.
1. Lot of trees.
2. Lot a rocks. (football size to baseball size).
Question is what is the best way to get rid of the rocks?
Any 3 point hitch impliments that will do the job?

Tim; As a veteran rock picker by far the simpilest for the surface rocks is just plain old grunt labor tossing them in a loader bucket and hauling them off. There are 3pt. rock rakes that can be rented or purchesed, but for one acre it might not be worth the hassle. If you have lots of rocks on the surface then it's quite likely you have just as many just under the soil too. For those you'll have to till the soil with a scarifier or something with teeth to penetrate the soil 8 or so inches to roll out the rocks you don't see. Frank. ....

The old hood of a car works as a rock boat. This allow you to just roll the rocks onto the boat and move them to another location. Your mind might be willing but you back may not allow you to lift all the rocks.
Smooth round rocks are hard to lift, even if they are not that large. Do you have steel toed boots? ....

Tim, I see in your bio you have a JD 550. You could use the dozer to push everything up into a pile, rent a grizzly screen to remove the rocks and then doze the soil back in place.
But if money is an issue and time isn't I would still doze everything up and keep windrowing it off the blade.

Tim, it sucks, but sometimes there is no good alternative to the old fashioned methods. Like picking up dog doo. Nothing works as good as a shovel and a bucket. Now I shovel them into the loader bucket for disposal elswhere on the property. But I still gotta use the hand shovel first. ....

One option I just considered is to contact kids groups and see fi they are interested in picking rocks as a funds raiser. Meaning you could be willing to pay them $X for every pound or Y pounds of rocks they pick out of a plot staked out by you.
You wouldn't have to do the picking and they'd have the incentive to max out the pounds of rocks to max out the payout.
Of course, I do not know what the insurance implications would be for such a task. ....

A bull dozer for a half day would do wonders to get rid of the stumps, clear the bigger rocks out and get you down to some dirt if you have any.
A rock hound or harley rake is good for picking up small rocks, basically used for preparing dirt for grass. Most lanscapers have them. They kind od beat the rocks into submission, don't remove rocks from soil like a plow does, probably not what you want.
